I’ve been caring for cats in their own homes for five years, so Sitting Kitty has become a natural extension of my day job and my work with cats.
Through my experience, I’ve learnt that every cat is different. Some want play, fuss and company; others would much rather I filled their bowl, sorted their litter tray and admired them respectfully from across the room. Both are absolutely fine!
I provide friendly, reliable cat sitting in the LU6 area, keeping your cat’s normal routine as familiar as possible while you’re away.
You’ll receive photos and reassuring updates too, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re being cared for by someone who really understands cats.

Thoughtful home visits
Everything They Need — and a Little Bit More
Reliable, practical care, with time for the little routines that make your cat feel at ease.
Food & fresh water
Meals prepared and served as instructed.
All food and water bowls washed thoroughly at every visit.
Automatic feeder needs refilling? I can do that.
Water fountain filter needs changing? I can do that.
Only drinks from the tap? I can do that.
Treats and rewards? Absolutely.
I also keep an eye on food and water intake and let you know if I notice any changes.
Clean & comfortable
Litter trays emptied at every visit, with a deep clean as instructed.
Hairball or little accident? I can clean that up.
Cat brought home an interesting ‘present’? I can clean that up too.
Scattered litter? I’ll sweep or vacuum it up.
Feeding areas and your cat’s spaces are kept clean, tidy and comfortable.
I leave your home as I’d want to find it.
Company, play & enrichment
Every cat is different. Some love cuddles, some love to play, and some prefer quiet company — all are welcome.
Play and enrichment to encourage natural feline behaviours such as stalking, chasing and pouncing.
A gentle brush if they enjoy it.
Quiet company for cats who prefer their own space.
Enrichment activities using their favourite toys.
Time together is always led by your cat, never forced.
Medication & health
Medication can be administered as instructed.
Insulin injections (I’m experienced and confident with this).
I follow your cat’s established routine and your clear instructions.
Feline First Aid Certified.
I’ll let you know if I notice any changes in behaviour, appetite or wellbeing.
A little care for your home too
Because looking after your cat also means keeping an eye on the home they’re living in.
Put bins out and bring them back in.
Collect post and parcels, so nothing is left out getting soggy.
Water plants if needed.
Open and close curtains and blinds.
Alternate lights on and off in different rooms.
Help keep your home looking lived-in while you’re away.
Cat-led care
Cat rules apply.
If your cat says no thank you to cuddles, I respect that.
If they demand six chin scratches and Dreamies before negotiations can begin, I respect that too.
Some cats want to play. Some want company. Some would prefer I simply perform my duties and leave.
No forcing. No fuss. Just patient, observant, cat-led care.

How it works
From first hello to homecoming.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1
Tell me your plans
Send me your dates, postcode, number of cats and anything important I should know. I’ll check my availability and come back to you.

Meet me & introduce your cat
Before your first booking, I’ll visit you at home so you can meet me and your cat can too. We’ll go through their routine, feeding, medication (if needed), keys and all the little details that make them them. No rushing – and no expectation that your cat has to come and say hello!
3

Your cat stays comfortably at home, following their familiar routine, and I’ll send you photos and updates from every visit so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in safe, caring hands.
Planning time away?

Sitting Kitty grew naturally alongside my work as a professional cat groomer and owner of Bentley & Bear® – Holistic Dog and Cat Grooming, based in Edlesborough, LU6. If your cat needs professional grooming or a claw clip, you can find out more at Bentley & Bear.
A few simple preparations can make a real difference to your cat’s happiness while you’re away.
Keep things familiar
Try to keep your cat’s routine as consistent as possible – their usual food, litter, favourite spots and habits. I visit morning and/or evening and follow their routine as closely as I can.
Leave clear instructions
A note (or a quick WhatsApp message) with feeding amounts, any medications, and details about your cat’s likes, dislikes or quirky habits is really helpful.
Litter trays
Please leave enough litter and any spare bags. If you have more than one cat, ideally provide one tray per cat, plus an extra if possible.
Familiar comforts
Keep their favourite beds, blankets, hiding places and familiar scents accessible so they can relax in their own space.
Enrichment
Leave out a few favourite toys and let me know what your cat enjoys – whether that’s a feather, a laser or just a good window view.
A calm environment
If your cat is used to having the radio or TV on, or prefers low lighting or closed curtains, please let me know so I can keep things as they’re used to.
